Extracurriculars

Susan currently sits on the Board of The Organic Center and BrightFarms, a leading start-up in
hydroponic, local farming. Previously, Susan has served on the Board for Traditional Medicinals, an
organic herbal tea company, and the YMCA of Berkeley and the East Bay. In addition to Susan’s passion
for better for you foods and having an impact in the community, she is also a zealot for the outdoors
and is an avid hiker, mountain biker, and skier.

<strong>Path</strong>

Born in the North Shore of Chicago, raised in Marin County and educated at Williams College in
Massachusetts and Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, Illinois. Susan returned to Marin in 2000
and has vowed to remain! Her passion for health & wellness started with her first job post graduate
school at Quaker Oats and has been a driving force ever since taking her to be GVP Innovation for Safeway, SVP Chief Innovation Officer & Chief Marketing Officer of Jamba Juice and CEO of Project Juice.
