Guru’s west coast hub is headquartered within the legendary Record Plant in Sausalito, California, where some of the most iconic albums of the past four decades were made. Many original features of the building remain intact and it is deeply saturated with the creative vibes of the era.

In the same building, and available for use by Guru employees, is a wellness center by day – offering a variety of daily movement classes, infrared saunas, massage and acupuncture – and a social club by night, with a robust event calendar that boasts live music, thought leaders and entertainment.

East coast

Guru’s east coast hub (under construction, as we speak) is headquartered within a dynamic innovation ecosystem of businesses along the shores of Lake Champlain in Burlington, VT where tech companies and agencies co-mingle and collaborate.

Here, Guru employees will be able to enjoy access to a private beach, lunchtime yoga and movement classes, a full service cafe and boating on the lake after work.

Art Director

Guru seeks an experienced advertising and marketing Art Director (5-7 years in an agency setting) to join our full-time staff. This position will work in close partnership with Guru’s creative director, graphic designers, copywriters and strategists to generate creative solutions across channels and mediums for brands who are impacting the world in the most conscious ways. This individual must have demonstrable experience building communications concepts and campaigns, delivering attention-getting ideas, and crafting compelling designs.

  • Receiving, reviewing and researching a creative brief and discussing its strategy and objectives with a team.

Project Manager

Guru seeks an experienced project manager (3-5 years in an agency setting) to join our full-time staff. This position is responsible for the healthy day-to-day management of assigned client accounts and the flow of work that takes each project from idea to reality. They act as the primary contact and coordinator of information between the client and the internal team (in partnership with, or under the direction of, the Account Director/Brand Manager, when applicable). The Project Manager is expected to develop effective and collaborative relationships with team members that support both the agency and the client’s goals.

The priorities for this role include:

  • Manage project flows, keeping client work moving in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Serve as the primary representative of Guru to each client, and manage the day-to-day client interactions/relations.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Manage all project finances by tracking hours and cost against budget, project future expenditures and revenue, and manage project scope changes against budget.

  • Lead and collaborate to create organic social media strategies that coordinate with marketing, PR and advertising efforts.
  • Lead and collaborate to establish influencer strategies and activation that coordinate with marketing, PR and advertising efforts. This includes identifying appropriate influencers, as well as creating and managing direct relationships and campaigns, both paid and/or owned.

This position will work in our client teams to generate solutions across channels and mediums for brands who are impacting the world in the most conscious ways. Ideally, this person will be able to develop strategy, plan, and buy media across all digital media disciplines (SEM, Display, Paid Social, Native Advertising, etc.) with budget experience for search and display - however, specific expertise in paid social and SEM is a must.

  • Responsible for development, management and optimization of paid media programs with an emphasis on paid social and SEM.
